giving anti biotic.. syringe?

Post by Willow »

I have been given an anti biotic to add to our injured chooks water.. Should she not want to drink, is it possible to slowly / gently syringe some into her beak or is it likely to go into her lungs? Has anyone ever tried this?

Dead easy, just open beak with your finger nail or fingers, & use the syringe as a prop to keep it open & trickle it in :-D
no worries you'll be fine
Cheers

yeah, it's fine - when I had it, I mixed it with a little bit of rice so she wolfed it down!
