Today I have ordered the pellets with flubenvet ready added so I expect thaat will be delivered Friday or Saturday. I always buy the fubbed pellets from farmandpetplace as their postage charge is reasonable plus delivery is prompt and the customer service is good. While placing the order my hand slipped and I accidentally ordered a purple broom and a purple bucket .ang. .

Tomorrow I shall pop into a pet store and get some flea treatment, what a lovely weekend my girls have to look forward to )de: A few of my girls are tame but refuse to be handled so I shall do a full report of the delousing operation. :?

Oh almost forgot a lovely green egg in the nest box today so Puddleduck has come back into lay, just need her to give a few others a good talking to now.

I paid just under £3 delivery for pellets, broom bucket and another item which is very good IMO.

Yes I use frontline although with 12 to treat I am tempted to get a cheaper brand.

Going to try and upload some pics of the run so you can see how grubby it is, and it needs repainting but far too wet for that caper.

Wild Chicks had a really good romp around the garden today making the bus passengers laugh when all 12 poured over the wall at once.

Today is worming (piece of cake just given the flock medicated pellets) and flea treating. Beerless is being roped in to help as some of the flock hate being handled so may need a hand catching some.

I shall update later on with how it went .... possibly from A&E if Beerless tries to catch Daisy.

Oh and remember I treated the flock to a new purple broom? Well it arrived and it is huge, that is what happens when you buy things from the horsey section of a website, still at least sweeping the run will be take half the time now.

Wish me luck Laners

Flea drops a step-by-step guide.

First gather up pipettes and don scruffiest garden clothes shout for Beerless don wellies and head for garden, after 10 minutes return to house to locate Beerless who stopped at the garage for a faff with a bike. Escort him physically down to garden, load him up with jotter and some equipment and enter run. Leave run to collect up all the items that Beerless dropped on his way in.

Finally we are in the run with all chickens, the plan is that I grab a chicken, Beerless hands me the meds and checks them off on the jotter as each one is done.

Weedol, Mogwai, Henrietta and Duchess first easy peazy chicken squeezy. Then I decide to go for the little madams next, after a great aerobics workout I finally capture Daisy who once captured is a little .ang. . Puddleduck gives me another run around bend and lunge and stretch and dive >dum< then she decides eating the jotter would be an excellent idea. Once she is done the rest are easily captured and treated.

Finally 12 chickens, Beerless and myself are flea free. Woohoo time for glass of wine to celebrate and Beerless can have some lager.
