Not the best photo but the two green eggs today along with a white and a brown, not the best pic but my hands were cold.

That is Daisy my White star, a white egg laying hybrid. She will stand near me and cautiously let me hand feed her but will not tolerate being handled at all, if she is on the nest box then I have to glove up to collect the eggs the other girls have laid or just wait until she is finished as she will peck. She is a little under 2 years old.

Weedol, Mogwai, Duchess (Speckled) and Henrietta (Black Rock) are just under 3 years old now so getting to be middle aged ladies.

8 eggs today, hurrah )t' )app(

I have decided to put my egg prices up to £1.20 a box of 6.

An old pic of my boxes, I now have photos of all 12 girls on the boxes.

Ace beat me to it, your white star is a cracker.
I am getting plenty of eggs 11 today )app( though as I have introduced a couple of new hens each year they vary in age from the babies of last year about 8 months old now up to Granny Bathsheba who I reckon is about 4+ .
It will be alright in the end , if its not alright, it isn't the end .

The pic was taken by Beerless, if I had done it then the pic would be blurry and lopsided. I am a rubbish photographer

Absolutely wonderful pictures MrsB of your lovely ladies and look at those yummy coloured eggs too :-D

Now I want some pink egg boxes, but it's not likely as I got some white ones the other week from the chicken website.

Love the little mousy picture as well, what a cutie {hug}

Wild Chicks were being a right pain in the fluffy area today.

Delia pecked Mogwai, so Mogwai pecked Dot who pecked Amelia who then pecked Delia, even Weedol and Daisy were pecking.

Blooming hormonal old trouts the lot of them.

I can only guess the jackdaws were spooking them.
