what a busy busy week Elmur Fudd has settled really well no integration issues at all and he is loving his ladies regularly and they love him

been to the vets with Boudicas foot again today and its defiantly not a bumble its because she is sooo heavy 4.5 kgs so 15 days of metacam just in case it is painful but the vet suspects not so why is she goose stepping on it ,well it turns out she is vit b12 deficient so we need to buy some baby vit b12 drops and 1 drop every day and apparantley it will remove the goose step

I am so relieved it isn't a bumble I have pulled and pushed wondering what it was it didn't look or act like one and it is just callous she is always perching on things and flying up onto things so its constant pounding on it but it will settle it is bruising that is hardening to protect the soft tissue underneath she wasn't phased by the vets at all she was a good girl sh shes out with her sisters no probs phew x

ann-a-lou however has scratched her eyes and has a little infection she is always in the bushes rummaging round so she has eye cream and she too has been really good having that it although she does like to shake her head afterwards and shower us in the droplets and I have kept her in to be sure she is ok all her eyelid swelled up and I didn't want any other hen pecking it so she is in the kitchen rearranging it she seems to prefer the teatowel on the floor with her on it so after 2 days of constantly washing teatowels I have given up and she has her own ,rather like a comfort blankie ;lol

Big Al has bagged himself a little white silkie boy from one of the laners on here and his new wives are eagerly awaiting their new husband he arrives on the 22nd of feb so he will be fathering lots and lots of lovely fluffy silkie babies

we have also found a home for a lovely lavender pekin boy and he is as we speak rounding his 3 girls up and chattering his amourous words wooing them lol

Big Al has also agreed to let one of my lovely rehomers buy a silkie from him and an absolutely adorable black hen which I really really want :( but wow they have a great home awaiting them I will post some pics of those girls when they go to their new hone unless he posts some on here for us ,I will ask nicely .

thank you sandy and chookmike for your healing thoughts for Boudica she seem fine actually and my little ann-a-lou bless her I think it is slowing down time she looks a bit older this week I hope not I love her so much ,on a happier note the rehoming is going very well and the new homes found is steadily increasing and thanks to some wonderful laners a few more girls have a loving home ,short n sweet im afraid at the moment im trying to catch up on lots of things and sandy I will reply to your email xxx

Ace I have just noticed your Fresh Start for hens rehome less than half a mile from me! I will look out for the next one as with floods and Rolands it would be rather unfair to restrict my madams to one dry patch which is a huge shame as I am getting broody for more children

Ace face has gone up to 24 /25 as there is a little lady that may stay lol yes I'm the same ol ace face can't say no to a needy hen .
Some ladies have come and gone over the last year or so but there is always a needy hen that needs a loving home and usually she stays here .
I still have my cockerel Frankii and his original girls Pip and Rheima , two grey babies bou and lana .
Various Banty girls but Delphine is still with me and her silly silkie true sister Fellaini, Truffle, little miss sunshine, Tj , Mikey two teeny Dutch bantams , Georgii, Deggsii Dinah amongst other such fancy silly names .
Although mum is getting older and more frail n needs an op she still loves the girls as much and them her.
Hope 2016 is kind to us all xxxxx
