The Chickens are now banned from the garden until Autumn, too many vegetables going on !!
So, time to open up the bits in the Run I've fenced off to allow a bit of wild growth for the past 7 months.

The whole Run complete is 24 feet x 24 feet and split into 8 feet squares. This one I 're-opened' gives them 7 out of 9. I'll open the next one in four weeks and the last one in eight weeks.

I'm also giving them the compost area which will mean fencing off another 12 feet x 16 feet.

They do OK!! I stole some of their soil for the raised beds yesterday and replaced the holes with grass turf I dug up through extending a flower bed.
