Fox attack

Post by Farmer-Gran »

Last week I lost my youngest, fittest hen to a fox. Following losses last year we invested in electric fencing to add to our stock wire and 6 foot high fence. We became blasé, not having been troubled for a year and let them free range in a large garden. Now they are back in an electrified enclosure with a 50 metre perimeter. I will post the subsequent events over the next few days. All our hens are rehomed from commercial enterprises.

Oh sorry to hear that you lost one of your chooks. Hopefully they will be safe again now behind the fence.
