I can't tell you what a relief it is to know she is OK. Bloomin' heck it amazes me how these girls can produce these eggs.

I bet it's a double yolker!!!

My little black rock Lacy passed away some time during the night, I found her lying on the floor of the coop with a prolapse, quite upsetting to see first thing in the morning, but not entirely unexpected I suppose, considering her history i.e. bleeding rectum, huge eggs (another massive one yesterday) she was the smallest of the three and produced the biggest eggs by far.
I shall miss her.

What a shame, I'm realy sorry .. Some of mine have laid absolutely huge eggs but I never realised it could cause such problems..

So sorry.
Down to selective breeding like dogs I am afraid. They breed these hens to lay and this is the outcome for some I am sorry to say. Poor little girl.
