My offerring is a broody box

Post by AL37 »

Okay so its just a pallet turned into a box, but it will serve its purpose and it cost nothing but a bit of time. :-D
Note the condition of the boards! The pallets were stripped using a flat pry bar as apposed to a round crow bar )t'

The lid, the heat lamps will go though the metal section of the lid.

Hopefully in a few weeks there will be some cute balls of fluff running round in it

Hi Orfy,
I used one whole pallet and a two boards from onother.
They were the pallets that can be picked up from all four sides, they have square chock seperating the top from bottom as opposed to spars running through the width. Also they tend to have more boards the same size.

That is soooo clever Al - I could have certainly done with that when I was babysitting the chicks a few weeks ago - so much better than joined up cardboard boxes!
