Now as it's almost done, I'll tell you the costs..........

Scan
Consultancy fee (refunded)
3 pre-visits for fitting etc.

11 teeth out
Acrylic dentures (full set top and bottom)

4 post alignment visits

= £800

If you took each visit to even an NHS, I reckon I've done very well - plus the Dentist has won Kent Business Awards for his work etc.

Mind you, I've had to work hours and hours to pay the balance, but it's paid in full now.
Plus I've taken 8 days off, so I've had to save for that as well.

But I'm well pleased, even if it does hurt and I feel groggy!!

Thans for the compliments!

Thanks everyone, it's appreciated and reading these plus a few comments from the girls at work have prevented me taking them out and throwing on the compost heap more than once!

However, yesterday I had two adjustment appointments and they're a lot lot better. Just a couple of rubbing Ulcers which I have some Diffum for and will buy some Bonjela today.

The average price around here seemed to pan out at about £1000 - £1200, so I think I've done OK. Taking into account I've had 8 appointments and still have 3 to go over the coming few weeks - I'm OK with it and wonder if I'd get the 'pop in tomorrow at 4pm to have a chat' on the NHS?

I tried a Steak and Kidney Pudding yesterday and managed it - just!! Main thing is I have light buttery Mashed Potato with anything - that's filling and I eat for England normally.

I'm in Southampton with family til Monday now and glad to get out of Ashford for a few days - nothing planned, so good.

Hi Richard
I am glad things are getting better.
Please keep eating, you are skinny enough as it is. Obviously it is lots of steak & kidney pie. I hope your family are looking after you, you deserve it.

Hi Richard
