Well as i was converting the shed i was planning on using the wood to make some nest boxes a grit box,some ramps and possibly use some of it on the play platform :l
We had enough pallets, but now i dont think we'll have any spare for quite a while :l
They left one pallet, but that pallet is rotten and smashed, so no use to me.

Problem is it's firewood time, they nick them, then cut them up into Kindling etc.

Maybe a drive around any local Business Parks and asking if you can take any ?

I have started on my 2012 wood pile and pallets will be the bulk of the store with neighbours felled trees as a bonus. I have found that DIY stores are only too willing to let you have their pallets as it costs them to dispose of the items, as the saying goes (shy bairns get nowt), cheers Dave NE

Try asking around local industrial estates hun, we have loads every week from our deliverys so that's what i use (shared with another lady who uses them for fire wood) We have had bits stolen from our yard too and it makes me sick! nothing is sacred anymore!!!
