Dog bedding (not from pallets!!)Dog bedding (not from pallets!!)I spent most of New Year's day cutting up an old single quilt into three pieces and sewing the edges up. Then I chopped up an old quilt cover from our double duvet and made three covers to fit. Then chopped up and old curtain and made two warm outer covers. Now my puppy has two warmly covered quilts for his two beds and one quilt for spare. It was a labour of love, but well worth it, and also means I don't have to keep spending ages "making" his beds now!

Bit like the one in my current avatar used to be! I'd like to live as a poor man with lots of money.
- Pablo Picasso Re: Dog bedding (not from pallets!!)Yep they don't need lots of money spent on them.
Dave has blankets on the floor in the dog room, because he tears things up. So they are very old and quite shredded. Wendy http://www.busheyk9.co.uk

http://www.freshstartforhens.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" Re: Dog bedding (not from pallets!!)I have always thought dog beds are massively overpriced. The last one I got for toby had a bag of rags for the filling after a while they ended up in a ball in the middle of the bed. no amount of shaking would spread them out. I replaced the filling of that one with folded quilts. His new one is foam filled a bigger than the previous one and cost me £15.00 from my feed supplier. The same one elsewhere is over £30.00.
