I made this from Rubbish that was left at my plot. The only new thing was the screws!!

That was made from an old fence panel! Its watertight at the moment but I think I will felt it when it warms up ready for next winter!

Can i suggest you out something else over the roof to waterproof it...felt is a major pain for mites - they love getting in under the felt and then getting rid of them is just about impossible!

If you can make the roof from one single sheet of ply or similar then seel it inside around the edges with silicon then you should be okay with felt over that. Mites love to live in the tinyest of gaps and a planked roof covered by felt as Manda says is ideal breeding ground for mites.

Even if you run corrugated plastic sheet over the top or some such thing as long as you can secure it it doesn't have to be flat to the top does it ? The only problem would be water run off from the shed.
