If you were, who would you choose to be on your team? Missing my little friend Sunny Clucker
Re: And for my next projectSorry Sunny I missed your post
So, scrapheap challenge eh? My first team member would be Dick Strawbridge and if you are a fan of the show you will be familiar with my second choice of Bodger. The rest of the team would be made up by my mates. I can confirm that the project has been an absolute success but I have lost the lead to connect my phone to the laptop. I will take the posh camera with me tomorrow and post some pics. Relax, I could have been a twin.
Re: And for my next projectWell firstly sorry for the delay but here is a picture of said stove. Since the picture was taken all the old paint has been burnt and wire brushed off it now has a coat of black heat resistant paint.
A word of warning. Gas bottles are dangerous, even when they appear empty they still contain gas. I strongly recommend you get someone qualified to decomision one if you want to try this project. Relax, I could have been a twin.
Re: And for my next projectFair play AL37, I've seen several designs of gas bottle burners but none like yours.I'd love one for my workshop but my welding skills(and lack of welder) are poor. What did you use for the window?
Re: And for my next projectThanks demonchille,
Belive it or not the window is a pirex dish. It was fine when I burnt wood and the first few times I burnt coal it was fine but it now has a crack in it. I think I got the stove too hot too quickly which caused the metal to expand quicker than the glass. Relax, I could have been a twin.
Re: And for my next projectHow on earth did you manage to make that? Helen xx

Re: And for my next projectThe coal might do it evertime,it burns so much hotter than wood.I'd thought of a window from an old washing machine
Re: And for my next projectThat did cross my mind Demon. Thing is I can explain why there is one pirex dish less in the cupboard. Why the washing machine door has disappeared could by slightly more difficult to explain.
