silly question
have steak
but what ale do you use?
and do you just replace the water for ale when you cook
the steak /pie?

replace liquid with ale when cooking cubed steak plus any other savoury ingredients you may wish to add,ie onion,mushroom,tomato paste,chestnuts,or even oysters!

I am an early bird.I only need about 3-4 hours sleep per day,been like it for years.I do like cooking and was making soya milk at the time as well,now off to start tonights tea!

i am normally finish work at 3-4am
so i say what are you doing up at
8.36 am!

Guiness is by far the best ale (stout to be correct) to use I had this at my future mum in laws house and it was really delicious she can cook a mean pie almost out of anything everything from apricot and rhubarb, steak and ale, and all sorts of weird and wonderful ideas will pick her brain next weekend when I go over and share some of her ideas with you all! )c+

i had to use it !
old speckled hen
just cooked the meat in the ale
tastes bloody alfull
added gravey granualls
looks right nice and thick
and it tastes realy nice
now for the pie bit
will keep you posted
