Did anyone hear the result of the vote yesterday. I can't find it on the BBC website.

I had a letter from my MP saying she voted the way I would so at least I got a reply, from the House of Commons jobbie on the front :?

Anyhoo had an email from 38 Deg and it says the govt. have scrapped plans for the sell off - unless I mis read it.

Yippee..

Yes Wendy they have. )t'
That is a step in the right direction but the forrests are still at risk. The forrestry commision will see huge cut backs and as a result many job losses.

I wonder if it was really a U-turn or was it like the last government’s ban on fox hunting, a highly emotive and well publicised smoke screen for far darker deeds….. the last government sold off our gold reserves on the cheap to the euro whilst hiding behind foxes, what has the coalition done?

i didnt think they had any intention to wholesale any forests off in the beginning
in there u turn was a clever ploy to make you think they had a heart and backed down. firstley the restraints on what was permitted would scare any potential
buyer from running in the opposite direction.
and secondly they dont want to lose votes. this goverment are no better than the previous shower of misfits that run this great country into the ground. {warn}

Awww, David Cameron. Isn't he lovely really? And Nick Clegg as well. Just a pair of big-hearted softies.
