Anyone like me?

Post by albertajune »

Does anyone have as many unfinished projects as me? I am one of those people who on seeing something different , must have a go, but finish nothing.
At the moment in my very large craft box I have:

Porcelain dolls that I made in 1991 but haven't finished dressing
Cross stitching half done
A drawfull of icing equipment from when I made celebration cakes
Still making furniture and furnishings for 2 dolls houses that my husband made
Different types of paints from my artist phase
Silver medium for making jewellery
Last but not least different materials for when I feel like sewing.

I am attempting to get some of them finished, but am now into photography and want to go back to making cloth dolls. That is before I grow more flowers for drying in the summer.
Oh I forgot to mention that the poetry is coming along nicely.
As I'm neary 74, I must get a move one or instead of being things to leave behind as heirlooms, it will all end up in the charity shop

I am now a widow and live with my memories.

I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find the tapestry I started..............the patchwork I started............I'm sure my watercolours are up there somewhere............I will turn at least 1 of my storyline ideas into a book..........

Looks like you are not alone June

So simular, I got an almost finished cross stitch piece.

I did make a start at card making and gave up.

I tried my hand at knitting...gave up.

I read books and sometimes never get to finish the read and end up moving onto the next one.....

I never leave things unfinished +pinn+

Its nice to know others out there have loads of things to finish. Ive got a book on dream catchers and the stuff to make one with, knitted bags to be finished, a knitted bear to stitch and stuff, etc, and I make bears to sell, and there are 6 of those to stuff and finish, but the spare bedroom is full of seedlings, and my allotment calls, so I think things are going to sit and wait for next winter.

I have a 'Little boy blue' embroidery I started when my older son was born - he will be 30 this year

I have......actually, I will be here all night if I think about this. I thin sleep is a better option!

When I laughed about this my hubby said...well it wasn't in the garage for 4 years!!!
We had a Jago in bits in the garage (after our neighbour complained about it being on the front garden!!!). I wish he had got it finished because had it been in one piece we would have brought it to NZ with us but no way was it coming in boxes!

I have a ton of unfinished projects all over the house, stuffed in cupboards, in the attic and the shed. Trouble with me is I get bored of things very quickly

My mum beats me hands down though, she started a beautiful embroidery of a woodland scene in the early 70's complete with lots of little hidden animals all over, this was all done free hand and no pattern was followed, over the years she'd get it out and do a bit more to it and then finally last year she finished it, it's now framed and hanging proudly in her living room )t'
