Picked through all of the potatoes today and its really good. About 20lbs were slug/wire wormed but usable and we have stored nearly 60lbs. Should keep us stocked for a few months.

I would just like to highlight the outdoor cucumbers in my 'good' list. They are doing very well this year. If anyone has not grown these before they are well worth it. They are easy to grow and, most importantly, actually taste of cucumber. They are far superior in taste, if not looks, than anything you can buy in a supermarket. The books sometimes refer to them as ridge cucumbers. The variety I grow is a tried and tested one: Green Tasty Burpless.
