Got hip replacement date

Post by albertajune »

I am so pleased. :-D Today, I got the date for my second hip replacement, the 20th May. I went shopping with my husband yesterday but ended up having to sit and wait in the car as it was so painful to walk.
It can't come soon enough as I was told the December before last that they both needed doing. Roll on May.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

Had one done last September. Trouble is because the other is so bad, I can't walk on the new one for excercise as I should do, but the consultant understands this. Although I'm excited I'm also nervous as it's not now done under general anasthetic, but was OK with the other one.

Hopefully June you will be out of hospital and gently recovering when the weathers warm and the days are longer - you just have to remind yourself not to overdue the gardening when you are back home

So glad you have your date through, I know you've been waiting a long time. Not long to wait and then you've got the summer to recover - things always seem to get better quicker when the sun is shining {hug} {hug}

That's interesting June that they do without a GA - I guess that would mean quicker recovery time for you {hug}

You take it nice and easy in the build up to your op and let's hope the weather stays lovely for your recovery afterwards too {hug}

Steve {rofwl}

But why don't you ask them June - say you'd like to take a walkman/cd player/ipod or something with some music to listen to. I don't see why you couldn't )t' :-D
