is it best to pop or not
the boy has just come home from
school with big blisters on both of his heels
shall we pop them or not
whats best

I always pop mine, but very carefully with a clean small needle. I gently squeeze fluid out, put on TCP or Germoline, any antiseptic will do, then I put a big plaster on. You could soak feet first in a bowl of warm water.

Can he wear just his socks around the house so they don't get rubbed?

I am not into squeezing anything. I feel you can let in germs. This way, as a blister, they are keeping the area clean. Put plasters over with good padding.

I always use, I think it's called compeed but it is a blister plaster - lets the skin breath underneath whilst the blister is going down - we do a lot of walking and do suffer with blisters and these work a treat?

Let the blister dry and come off on its own, its natures way of protecting the fresh skin underneath (f+

Burst and dowse with tcp (they used to put iodine on mine when i used to have to walk over mountians and stuff during training).

I'd vote for compede too - rather expensive but well worth it. :?
