There was an interesting article in today's Guardian about what has done well with the wet summer and what has not:-

Cor I have to agree about the beetles. They are little critters in my house and keep getting in! I threw 2 our the bathroom window last night and one scuttled across my kitchen floor too.

Yes, there is an increase in the mole population in the garden - I need some feral cats to sort them out.

You can get those humane mole deterrents that you poke in the grass can't you?

You can get those high pitch only heard by mole mechanisms, but they had two in the large house opposite to no avail.
They have an half acre lawn and earlier in the year it was infested with hills - Good soil for the garden though!

We've seen a big Squirrel and Rabbit increase this year.

Other than that, much and much down the lane.

Oh yes,
Sqirrels and rabbits. So many my Josie [GSD] has her work cut out chasing them all.
