Sad you lost so much to the frost ,have bin holdong off with my runners only sown today and me cues and other delicates last wednesday .May get sweet corn in next weekend if long range forcast shows an improvement.

I noticed the spuds have come through today; covered them pretty quick, don't want my chips frosting! )grin2(

Seven inches of rain on the plot last month, but it was early frost that put everything back. Wandered round with the mobile today!
Over winter garlic and red onions still doing OK!

Untidy hilling up of spuds, but it's thick with manure! )grin2(

Yu Mai Tsai (Chinese sword leaf lettuce) all year round and very hardy!

The brassica patch, tiny seedlings just right for woodies! yike*

Waiting for the spring onions to get bigger so I can weed them out easier!

Signs of life and progress eh Mallard but I suspect not what you were hoping for . After struggling through Winter you really are looking for a bit of a break with the weather now.
It will be alright in the end , if its not alright, it isn't the end .

I daren't plant out my runner beans yet, so they're getting a bit out of hand!

A couple of my oriental veg seem to like the current weather! :-D
Japanese edible chrysants (shingiku), very bitter!

Hello Mallard haven't seen you for a bit - I can see now where you have been, busy on the lottie. If the japanese whatsit is bitter will you still use it - is it an acquired taste or is that one you put down to experience ? Shame as it looks a fair cropper.

Things are coming along now, especially poppies and bindweed! yike*
Two big courgettes for a chocolate cake (I didn't realise how expensive cocoa was) a few peas to go with tonight's tuna pasta, and giant zittau onions grown from seed for a jar of pickles!
My blackberries should be ready just as the bramleys are! )eat(
