Whose idea was the weed tea?

OMG! I have a black bin full of it, and a trug waiting to go in! And it smells! I'm using it, and the rain is refilling it! It is never ending, it really is the eternal bin full!

I made a liquid plant food with a bag full of chicken poo in a bucket, the lid blew off so I too have an ever filling smelly brew. The plants are doing well on it , must remember to top it up before it gets too diluted.

Sarah - you put your weeds in a bucket with a lid, fill it with water, put the lid on & then leave it until it smells really really bad, then you leave it a bit longer, and when it threatens to leave the bucket of its own accord, you use it as plant food

Remember to dilute it 10 parts water to 1 part tea!

I just let the rain dilute mine! And it does really truly stink!

I have a smaller bucket with very tight fitting lid and one day I will make the chicken poo version! Put somepoo in an old sock leave in bucket of water for a few hours and use the resulting horror!

Some of my weeds smell good enough to eat so I opened this thread hopefully. I suppose I was thinking dandelion coffe or something.

I once made steeped corn for fishing bait, essentially you put a load of popping corn in a bucket, top it up with water and leave to ferment. I forgot about it and went to sea for a few months… then went away again and in nearly a year I ended up with a frothy sludge that stank to high heaven. I don’t know what it was like as a bait because I sealed the lid and ditched it due to the reek.
