Hedgehog home!

Post by Mallard »

Bit rough and ready as it's made from bits lying around, the inside is lined with ply to stop the draughts and has fresh hay courtesy of the plots wildlife expert! I wanted it done fairly quickly as there are one or two convenient bonfires around! :-D

Lucky Spike :-D I hope he soon finds his way in & decides that it is a comfy place to stay.

Lovely! - hope he enjoys it.
I adore hedgehogs and would love to have a resident one. We used to have them in the garden when I was a kid but have never seen any here. Looked into adopting one from a local wildlife centre but they charge £80 and there is no guarantee it will stay - it may just wander off into other gardens or the allotments we back onto.

Everybody's fighting weeds, those that don't get nasty letters! {warn}
We still have two cats, Jezebel and Denis. Denis isn't too popular as he's killed a wren and a nest full of robins! yike*

That's great mallard, he's a lucky hog. Hope he appreciates his lovely new abode, don't forget some pics him in there if he's not too shy.

Do you know if Spike has used his new home yet?

Naughty Dennis, but it is only nature.

Had a look this morning, but didn't see him! I don't want to lift the lid in case he's in there! :-D
