Daffodills
DaffodillsI have just been given about 200 Daffodill bulbs,is there any way of forcing them to flower around Christmas time if they are put in pots?I may have left it to late, but if anyone knows a way I will give it a go.Thanks.

Re: DaffodillsRule of the thumb with daffs is to plant outside September to flower Spring, Tulips about October.
I take it you want to put them in pots for indoors. You could try putting them in pots now but overcrowd them. Just ordinary compost will do. Put them somewhere warm and dark(airing cupboard) keeping the compost moist. They will start to shoot and when the shoots are about 2 inches high(the shoots will be yellow not green) bring them out to a warm place and hopefully they should bloom by Christmas. The earlier you plant them the sooner they flower.
