You can get some fantastic bargains, if you're prepared to put in a little work denialing and planing.

Managed to get 10, 12'x 8"x2" joists for £22 earlier this year, took maybe two hours to denail and cut into 3x2 and 2x2.

Went to pick up another bargain today, took two trips, my beloved berlingo was on its knees.

20, 8x2" joists, 6 were 11 foot long, the rest 16 foot long, all nail free, knot free, hole free and twist free, they look almost new. £127.50, whilst its a lot of money, it's just £6 a length.

It's going to be used to make a wooden green house, a better run for the chooks and the frame for some planned decking in the back garden.

Made a start on the coop mk#17 >shrug<

It will incorporate a wooden greenhouse at one end, we had a 10x6 greenhouse with a 6x6 greenhouse on the end with the coop bodged in, so I decided to make a proper job of it.

The run will be 12x6, more than enough for my 4, and the green house will be 6x4. It's starting to take shape now.

Got the plastic roof panels coming next week and should have it painted by then if work doesn't get in the way {rofwl}

Of course, the girls got in the way;
