Outing Myself TomorrowRe: Outing Myself TomorrowI'm not too clever with the time difference, but i hope you had a wonderful time with your Grandson , that's all he cares about, that you made the effort to be there with him
By the way I have chickens Blaze, Star and Comet, who have met Sunny Clucker in Cheshire :-)

The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don't have
Woody Allen Re: Outing Myself TomorrowHope you had a great time American Lady, but also hope that you use your walkermabob a lot more to enable you to get where you need to go.

Re: Outing Myself TomorrowBelieve me, your kind words of encouragement made a difference. I did it. Walked into that gymnasium with my walker, friends said hello, how are you, watched the game (my grandson's team won beautifully), and I had a good time! The anticipation was much worse than the reality, so I think I learned a lesson. Thanks again, so very much.

Re: Outing Myself TomorrowThere is a man down my street who really struggled to walk to the shops with the aid of a walking stick. He trudged very slowly past my house. One day he got a wheelie walker and now he whizzes by. I asked him how he was getting on with it. He said he was always afraid of falling, that's why he walked so slow. Now he has the frame to hold on to his confidence has increased greatly. He is able to go faster because he doesn't feel afraid any more.
I wish I could persuade my 89 year old uncle to get one as he gets quite weary walking a few yards. He is adamant he isn't getting 'one of those things'. Yes, go for it, anything that aids walking has to be a good thing. Ilona Just noticed, you did it, well done. Re: Outing Myself TomorrowWell done you! Onwards and upwards.
Isn't it so often the case that anticipation of things we dread are worse than the reality? Re: Outing Myself Tomorrow Glad you had a great trip with your Grandson
