food for all?

Post by Mo »

have you seen the new campaign Enoughfood IF?

It's a combination of lots of well know groups e.g Oxfam, Soil Association, etc. The anti factory farming people are involved because keeping animals indoors uses lots of imported feedstuff grown abroad where food for local people should be grown.

Yes had an email from Compassion in World Farming today with a link on it.

Has some really valid points. Let's stop factory farming, grow food for animals to eat (a very in efficient use of food) and growing food to turn into fuel for cars. Let's stop multi-nationals buying agricultural land in developing countries and start paying farmer a fair price for their produce. Let's encourage bio-diversity.

Let's conquer hunger and have a fairer more equal world.

Thank you for the link Mo - looks like interesting reading.
