Has anyone used these pellets for seeds? If so how did you get on with them.

I have used them before (someone gave me a few to try) - they really are quite magic when they absorb water and swell up. Plants didn't seem to be any better off for growing in the plugs, but I see how useful they are as ready made plugs so no messy compost everywhere. I thought they were a little on the small size. Anyway, for the price of them I would rather go for stuff I can re-use like seed trays and module inserts, and buy a bag of compost and fill my pots in a potting tray.
