Colonoscopy tomorrow

Post by albertajune »

I will be having my colonoscopy tomorrow afternoon. I'm not worried at all about having it done. I got over the undignified bit a long time ago. What does get to me is, no food after mid day today and just water to drink until 2 hrs before it is done.
Instead, I have to look forward to 3 doses of drink to clear out my system, so can't leave the house in case! I might be able to run back and forth to the Lane. )t'
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

All done and dusted! I had a couple of polyps taken away which should turn out alright. They were both very small. I found it very interesting watching the procedure on the monitor, the first time I have looked.
Had lovely nurses, one who had a really good sense of humour. When I said that I had never seen a needle go in, he said that he can't look when he does it {rofwl}
Anyone who has had the procedure will apreciate the problem of getting rid of the air that has been put into you. Mine this time was particularly bad and noisy, so much so that a nurse suggested I was tied down to the bed as I was likely to take off. {rofwl}

I had a day of lovely rest but now back to normal.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.
