OK.
They started here. Only for a couple of days so we could be sure they would put themselves to bed etc.

But the Sussex got too aggressive so we moved them out yesterday, you can see the fence was still being installed at the time.

They set about trashing the place very quickly

Here's a better piccy of them all

We have decided that the apparently immature Ranger must be laying as, somewhat surprisingly we have had 3 eggs a day for the last 2 days. The Rock seems to lay very, very early (one very cold egg was taken out at 7am) and the others about now!

They seem to be very happy and the garden seems complete again :-D

Thanks :-D

The ranger is an amateur, we've had 3 softies from her this week. Bless her, she dropped one as she was having a drink. The other 2 devoured it before she had a chance to turn round. OH was astounded - he missed seeing this stage in the last lot!

Sadly we electrocuted another frog. The Sussex carried it round for about 2 hours... every time she put it down the Rock had a look in and she would pick it up and run again. OH eventually gave up laughing, gave them some tomato and removed the poor creature - almost untouched by beak or claw!

We're just designing a sun cover for the back of the house (feeling positive about the weather) and then the ugly run can come out!

It doesn't take long to get back into the swing of early morning poo picking and other lovely stuff - work colleagues have certainly commented on the still warm muffins they have had twice this week )t'

Thanks! We're lucky too. The hamlet is so very, very quiet and the landlords, who owns most of the rest of the place, live close but may as well be absent.

I think moving out of town was the best thing we ever did :-D

Yes the frog most definitely was an ex-critter. We seem to kill 1 or 2 a year {cry}

The sun shade seems to be very popular. We have immediately noticed the design flaw. It is on the back of the hut (piccies later) and from the house we just can't see them. Panicky moments occur until we walk up the side of the run and they come screaming out - just in case we brought food!

They are all laying, though they may have a day of as OH has offended them with their first experience of a lawnmower - they were very, very unhappy and shouted at him for a while :-D

I forgot to buy egg boxes... I really must get my act together!

He's back out there now - they gave him the cold shoulder just for wheeling it round the corner where they could see it! :-D
