It's growing like crazy, has long twining stems, and is growing out from somewhere in the middle of the bay tree.

It looks like a Japanese Rose (Kerria japonica 'Pleniflora') .. it grows like crazy, we used to live next door to one and I was for ever pulling up roots from my border.

I have one.
Very pretty flowers, but my goodness, grows like wildfire. I have to prune it down all year.

Is that the same as the one I used to call Butlers Buttons ? It was a kerria of some sort, quite a good flower to have at the back of a border if you can keep it in check.

Yes - that's it. Thank you ladies :-D It can stay where it is for now, and I'll encourage it over towards the ugly wall I think.
