oh dear we nearly had a disaster this afternoon. My son told me one of the chicks
was making a load of noise, I rushed out there, it was Beany's little brown chicky it had managed to find a tiny gap & got out & couldn't get back in, Beany & the others had gone back to the nest & little chick was left in the garden alone! But oh boy they can make a loud noise for such tiny things, so he was easy to find. phew! must be more careful where I put their run. I was wrong about the colours, the brown ones will be gold laced & the yellow ones will be mottled or speckled with blue or jubilee colouring. Now I've just found out my new guinepig is pregnant,  in about 2 weeksI'll get another overload of cute! "He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. Glad the escapee got home safely, they are all just sooo sweet
Looking forward to hearing about your next lot of new arrivals in a few weeks. Sounds like you have a full maternity ward at the moment  The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don't have

a week has passed and those tiny wing feathers are starting to appear, I couldn't
resist posting some more pictures. I'm trying really hard not to name them as I'm not intending to keep any, but I keep finding myself calling one Bumblebee (guess which one?) and my son calls the ginger one on the grass that escaped - Houdini   first sight of grass   hmm those little feathers look a bit curly? Here's some more cute for you.
Tragically my guineapig died this morning after giving birth to these 5 babies, it was so very sad. now their foster dad piggy and me have got to raise them.
