Factory farmed animals are routinely fed antibiotics, even when they are healthy. The animals are vulnerable to disease because they are often:
•confined or caged in crowded, stressful conditions;
•weaned from their mothers very early;
•forced to grow faster and bigger than nature intended.
....animals depend on dr-ugs to survive factory farms. But this ‘regular fix’ results in more bacteria that are resistant to dr-ugs. This could have catastrophic implications.
