Don't think I've seen a Death's Head, but we used to see Privet Hawk moths when I lived in a London suburb (lots of privet hedges)

Re: deaths head hawk mothOut of interest, is it easy to breed the moths? Also what do you do with the adult moths?
It must be a really interesting to see them go through the various stages. I am now a widow and live with my memories.
Re: deaths head hawk mothlike Manda said the ones I had before were lunar moths, the deaths head ones are well cool, they have a skull shape on their back, wing span is 3.5 - 5 inches, they squeak if they are distressed and they can raid bees nests for honey as they can make themselves smell like the bees

Re: deaths head hawk mothI love them!!! They are so beautiful...you have to wonder how nature comes up with something like that don't you ?
Now there's a new tattoo if ever I saw one... Funnily enough I'm watching a UK programme called urban secrets and they are in Brighton....this shop is just up your street I reckon Ock http://www.eatonnott.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; they had all sorts of skulls ...some they had carved...some stuff was a bit too much for me as an ornament but there were some calved skulls that were just stunning. ¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨)✰
