Today for eye lens rememy

This afternoon, the artificial lens replacement in my eye that has thickened, will be put right. It's done with lasers and fingers crossed the vision in that eye will be back to normal.
I can't wait to get back to my sewing as I am getting so bored with nothing to do when I sit. I'm one of those people who can't just sit or I start yawning and then nod off.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

My mum had the same problem. She had cataract surgery in both eyes back in 2007 but when she went to get her eyes tested a couple of weeks ago the optician mentioned some clouding in one eye.

Luckily she has private health care cover so I made her an appt for last Sunday that lasted 45mins and the consultant did the procedure there and then and within a few hours her vision was fine :-D

Very happy to say that vision is perfectly restored. It was done so quickly. My appointment at 2.15pm and I was back in the car by 3.10 and that was with having sight tested etc. The laser took about 10mins.
The slight clouding in the left eye is something that I must get used to. It has nothing to do with the lens, but comes from the 'jelly' in the retina area that has come away and is floating. I can see fine through it, so can get back to normal, what ever that is.
Thank you North Hampshire Hospital for the care that you give. :-D

So glad everything went so well June. The Colonel had a check up with our Optician this week as he is experiencing some problems in the eye that had the cataract removed. Apparently there is a membrane forming behind the new lense, so he has to have laser treatment too. Hopefully not too long a wait and as good an outcome as yours. :-D
15 ex batty girls, 2 rescue jack russels and one very naughty Shih Tzu puppy who rules the household!!!
