For sale; Solway Eco Hen Loft : NOW SOLD

Post by Nefertari »

I bought this 2 years ago to house some extra hens - but since I also have a Cube, they have always tended to pile in there together! They only ever used it to lay eggs in and now don't even do that.

It sleeps 6 hens, or more banties. Really easy to keep clean (and the red mite away) by the blast of the hose.

Collect from Thatcham (near Newbury, West Berkshire) Just off the M4

Price £85.00

Can't remember how to post pics at the moment, if you look back at my posting history you will see it. also if you google solway eco hen loft on google images, my setup appears!
It'll be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end.

I'm sure it does Nef and that's a very decent offer you're making )t'

I'd love more hens for sure, though after everything that's happened lately I'm not too sure.... :?

Betty and Gloria are *touches wood* happy and healthy and I don't want to rock the boat.

Haven't mentioned it yet to Hubbly as he's been so busy with work and was very late last night.

Hi, is yours the Maxi hen loft?
http://www.solwayrecycling.co.uk/recycl ... i-hen-loft
this is the only one on their site that looks like yours, but it's only for 4 hens.
Does it come apart?

Hi Redd

It's very similar, it's this one

http://www.solwayrecycling.co.uk/recycl ... o-hen-loft

hens only sleep in it (and lay in the nest box) and all tend to huddle up, no I'd say it easily sleeps 6.

Yes those ring things come off so you can remove the roof, nest box etc. it has lttle wedge things you gently hammer in - which it has been put together with.

When you buy them, they are complete, but you can make it smaller (for transporting for instance) by taking some wedges out if you know what I mean.
It'll be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end.
