Rusty radsRusty radsPut on here some weeks ago about the bathroom rad going rusty at the bottom. Had some good replies, but was watching Superscrimpers the other night and they suggested WD 40 with an ordinary scourer.
Gave it a go this morning and it works!! Obviously havent painted it yet, but so far, so good and it hasnt cost us a penny............yet. LOL Re: Rusty radsDon't forget to degrease the rad (remove traces of the wd 40) before painting, otherwise the paint won't stick
Dean. I may have to grow older, but it doesn't mean I have to grow up!
Re: Rusty radsThanks, Dean. Did that and two coats of Hammerite and it looks like new.
Re: Rusty radsJust to let you guys know that 5 months on and rad still looks like new......so, it works.
Re: Rusty radsA true restorer Gwen! well done..
I am old and wise, because I was young and stupid!.
Re: Rusty radsNot sure about the 'true restorer' bit, SB, but thank you anyway. LOL
Re: Rusty radsOooh - glad I saw this as my bathroom rad is rusty! What did you remove the wd40 with?
