Grandmothers crochet

Post by albertajune »

These are some of the very delicate pieces of crochet that my clever grandmother did.

It is done in the very finest silky cotton and must have taken so much time and patience.
The top one is one of two that go with the larger one that is second as a dressing table set. The bottom one is 6ins square to give you an idea of how many stitches were used. I don't use them and just hope that one of my family will be interested enough to care for them later.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

June - they are lovely. I would never have the patience to make anything so delicate.

I do think you ought to use and enjoy them though {hug}

So beautiful. Sad that they are not in use nowadays. But very delicate.

I have done similar, some years ago. But not as fine.
I'll see if I can find it.

Found it.
