Re: YarndaleMe at Yarndale today in my newly knitted jumper - had a great time - it was very busy - much quieter late afternoon when you could have a proper mooch around.
There was loads of bunting everywhere it looked great. Knitted food everywhere .. Fluffy bunnies and alpaca's ... And I spent a fortune on beautiful yarn - a great day out all round!! Julie

Re: YarndaleLovely photos Julie, looks as though it would be very easy to spend lots of money.
Re: YarndaleI went today too julie, it was great wasn't it? It was really busy though, and I'm not sure the poor rabbit had the best time he looked a bit nervous to us when we saw him. Xx

Follow my blog: http://girlontheplot.blogspot.co.uk/ Just make sure my think works are wound extra tight, and I will formulate a plan! Re: YarndaleOooh! I am sooo envious! I have been following various crochet blogs and watching it all unfold. I honestly thought about a weekend away, but I have just had my holiday. Grrrrrr
For those who don't know, the bunting triangles were sent in by people everywhere, and then strung later. Quite a labour of love! Helen xx

If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning
Re: YarndaleI had a whale of a time - met loads of knitwear designers who's work I've admired which was great. Had my picture taken with Ann Kingstone who designed the sweater I'm wearing (she was wearing it as well!) , had a chat with Susan Crawford and bough her vintageknits book, bought some beautiful Titus yarn from Baa Ram Ewe - really lovely. It was much quieter later on in the afternoon so you could have a really good mooch around. I could understand anyone with a disability/pushchairs might find it very hard going but I kind of know what to expect with it being in the cattle market.
It was incredibly busy - I know people were complaining about traffic/parking etc but Skipton is a small market town and I suppose it's a good thing for the future of the event that it was so much more popular than they anticipated. For people who follow the Attic24 blog i did see Lucy but she was constantly surrounded by people so I didn't get to say hello - just shows the power of the internet - I would think she probably found the whole thing quite overwhelming. I do hope it becomes an annual event - I'm sure they'll learn from any teething problems they had this year. So great to have something like this in the north Julie
