There are so many about now and as you say a good time for pics.
I saw one in my garden, like yours, the other day and couldn't believe how resourceful the spider had been. As well as the main web, it had a strand going from either side and attached to them were box like webs that were laying flatter on the plants. I couldn't photo the whole thing as it stretched for about 6ft. I thought it quite wonderful.

I have a huge one in the corner of my lounge with a giant spider to match! Haven't got the heart to destroy all that hard work!

There are half a dozen of those "lovely" things at face height in my chicken run!
I get caught most mornings when I'm not thinking, fortunately the massive, fat
spidees only seem to take up central residence after dark. I like to see the beauty
in nature and am always kind to little creatures - but not when they're on my face! >dowhat<

most mornings i end up with half a dozen on my face when I go to get my bike out of the garage.

Gorgeous, i get to see lots around the forest when we take the horses out, Its such a pretty sight but not quite so pretty when you get them in the face {rofwl}
