Horseradish

Anyone know of the best way to store/preserve horseradish.

I read some where I think it was written by the chef Sophie Grigson that you can freeze it,that's what made me buy a plant, only I don't know how to harvest it properly ,i did get some out a couple of years ago and froze it and it was fine, you could google horseradish and Grigson.
