My 3.5 tonne van was £640 or so to insure even with nine years of no claims, third party social, domestic and pleasure with a small amount of business use.
This year I've decided I will use it far more for business and less for just driving to the stables, so swapped 7,000 normal miles to 7,000 business miles and 1,000 business to 1,000 normal use.
The insurance is now £230 fully comp!
Better cover, at a third the price.
It might be worth you all having a quick check next time you insure, you never know if you can legally swing in a few business miles and get lower premiums. Good luck
