I love the top picture of Benny where he looks very Christmassy. I hope your boy now goes from strength to strength after the latest set back. Cuddles to you both {hug} {hug}

Thank you all, we've had a gentle short lead walk, I'm bathing his wounds twice a day with saline and he's taking his meds like a good boy. Been putting an ice pack wrapped in a towel on his leg too.

He's eating really well too )eat(

Forgot to say earlier, vet said it was where they went in and stabilised Benny's joint with for want of a better word nuts and bolts and screws, that's where the reaction happened.

If anyone's interested, here's what Benny's had done - a tibial plateau levelling osteotomy, bless him )pty

Sorry to hear of Benny's set back, but well done you for spotting it quickly and getting the correct medication/treatment, bless him.

Just love the look in his eyes in the first picture. They say a picture paints a thousand words and that one sure does. LOL

Had a look at that link, looks quite an intricate op, but the prognosis looks excellent.

Thank you all {hug}

Again today he's more perkier, sleep, nutrition combined with his meds are working their magic :-D

I was so worried about him last week, what with it being the bone and everything, but onwards and upwards now )x5(

Love all the new Christmas smilies )x6(

Hey everyone, just thought I'd post another little update.

Our boy is doing really well, he's pretty much back to normal although he's not allowed to do normal Benny things and has to keep calm for another few good weeks yet. He's so good though, you tell him "Benny no" and he listens.

He's eating and drinking normally and really seems to like his crate/room. He doesn't have to be in there whilst we're with him, but we leave the door open and he takes himself in there for a snooze ~eep~

We're back to see our vet tomorrow for another check up, I'm pretty confident the infection has been zapped. Have also booked him in for a shampoo and set afterwards as a little treat {hug}

Here's our lovely boy

All good with the vet yesterday, Roman's happy with Benny's progress )c( )c(

Next thing is his x-ray in about two weeks to make sure everything is healing as it should be.
