Light bulb fittings

Post by Mo »

OH wants to know why all (well most) the light bulbs in the supermarkets are screw instead of bayonet nowadays. And why you can't get a decent 150watt bulb. (We end up removing all the shade and having naked bulbs dangling from the ceiling in an attempt to see properly.)
Also why all our light bulbs seem to go at once.

Because the EU wants us all to get screwed and bayonets bring back memories of the war.

Watts have been superceded by lumens which no one understands and our political masters want to keep us in the dark.

What you do in the privacy of your own home is up to you. Just make sure you draw your curtains so you don't shock anyone.

Mo, if it's any consolation, I am as confused about light bulbs as you are >dum< What happened to the blissful simplicity of choice of wattage and the plain/pearl option? }hairout{
