Never tried it, Mallard. Does it taste like anything else, or a totally distinctive taste of its own?

At work tonight loads of people were buying haggis - we sell veggie ones too!

I am off out tomorrow night with friends to our local pub for a burns night supper. I know both meat and veggie haggis are on the menu, although I was a little disappointed that deep fried mars bars weren't on it this year :? They are so wrong on so many levels, but they do actually taste good {rofwl}

I am also looking forward to the 'Wee timorous beastie' bit. :-D

I made some last year although they weren't in the original casing because I still need to learn how to prepare that properly ...so they were kind of sausage shaped haggis :? ...tasted good though.
