They all seem to be getting on ok. Jess still seems a little confused. She was first in the nesting box last night, and a few little banty's stood with hands on hips asking her why she had taken their space! Haaaaa i had a peek in and it was so funny they were like. "WHAT'S GOING ON ?" they do make me laugh bless em!

Thanks for all the kind words, it never gets any easier does it {cry}

Gosh not been here since last July :oops:

Well i have 4 banty girls now as we lost Looby Lou last monday. So in total we have 6. Jess (the only big girl ) is fine with the banty's titch (Boy) keeps them all in line. Just wish we could get some sun for them, its so muddy down there. The run is covered, but the rain gets it at the sides when it's windy, so we have to keep raking it out and putting new straw down for them, mixed in with dry corn just to give them things to do really. This winter has been a hard long slog for all us chook keeprs, roll on spring )t'

So sorry about Looby Lou {hug} I remember Jess, wasn't she left on her own or am I getting confused? Do you realise it was summer and lovely long light mornings and nights when you last updated +f+

The girls and Titch are not liking this wind at all. They were all inside the coop for most of the day yesterday, as we have tarp all over it the wind is catching and making an awful noise. They are dry though, but a little fed up i think {cry}

The girl's have not been venturing out this week, deciding to stay inside the coop door bless em! Far to wet and windy for them to come out, they hate it! Their run is still nice and dry, but not sure how much of the tarp will be left after the storm's this week. Lets have some sunshine please )t'

I have had an egg from Jess after 6 months )t' Lovely green egg waiting yesterday. I have also had a few Banty eggs this week, so spring may be on the way :-D . They are all doing well at the moment, now just 5 girls and one boy, gosh when i think i had over 12 at one time. Thats it for me for now, although i would love some more batty girls, as i now only have the one coop, and large run, it would not be possible unless i go for extra storage. Jess is the only large girl amongst them, and they all get along ok. With the winter we have had this year my garden still looks like a mud bath, just need some sun to dry it all up. They hate the rain and wind, and hide inside the coop until its calmed down. Roll on spring and sun
