My first Hedgehog House..

Post by Richard »

Here it is, about 4 hours work and made from bits and pieces, off cuts etc. I had laying around doing nothing.

I have to put some bedding in and cover it up a bit more, so we'll see. It's on legs on concrete, but covered with earth, logs, leaf and logs thus far.

Mind you there's loads of places they could make their own down the Lane, but even if they don't use it I can have a word with local Vets to say I can put one in there if need be.

That's brilliant Richard. )t'

My hedgehog house is right in the far corner of the garden hidden behind shrubs ..will try and take a pic later when Hubby comes home to hold some foliage out of the way. It's a good idea to hide it and not disturb it especially between April and September during the breeding season.
I also have a nest under the shed .. I know they are under there as I can hear their spines scratching the underside of the floor. :-D I have to tread very carefully this time of the year but they don't seem to mind me going in there as they haven't moved on {hog} :-D
