TV last night, Richard III

Post by Spreckly »

We watched the programme on Richard III last night, and the follow on afterwards on More 4. The original programme was a while ago, but both last night programmes were well worth watch, and the reconstruction of his face from the skull I find amazing.

I watched the first program on Sunday evening and thought it great. It was an eye opener as to how bad his spinal deformity was and how well he actually coped with it. Fascinating how
they could tell what he ate etc.

It was also interesting to see how someone with the same problem today, coped with the things that Richard had to in his lifetime. He was surprised himself how much he could do and it must have given him confidence.

I think it amazing that the burial place of this king who most people know about, was found under a car park, when people over the centuries have wondered where he was.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.
