Today was a lot better. She isn't greatly interested in treats.
So I went with raw tripe !!! yike*
Don't know if some of you haven't experienced this. But it stinks to high Heaven.
She loved it. )c( )c( )c( Waggy tail most of the time. Some teaching to watch me and some sits and stands )t' . Not tried to get her to go into a down yet, as I am still building trust. The walking is nice, even I am amazed that she has cottoned on, to that so quickly.
Today instead of standing with her rear facing me, she sat and let me scratch her chest and eventually laid down by me. So I am winning her round slowly.

Hello Everyone.

I am delighted to tell you that Valentina is going to her new home today.
I haven't said anything before, as I didn't want to jinx it. The people have had GSD's from NAWT before, also with issue's.

When I think of how she was 2 years ago, when I met her. Depressed, didn't want to leave her bed inside the bedroom part of the kennel. If she did she would look at the wall.
I love her enough, to never see her again.
Please >fi< .

Congratulations on seeing another lovely dog through to a happy ending, hopefully all goes well for her with her new owners. It must be hard but satisfying to see them progress then move on to homes where they will be loved.

I felt a bit emotional reading the latest on Valentina. She has had such a bad past life and thanks to you will have the love and care that she deserves. We all say "well done Wendy" but that somehow doesn't seem enough. If you could have thank you licks from the dogs whos lives you have turned round you would be very wet. {hug}

Good grief, that's taken a long time. Let's hope it's the forever home for her.

I am sorry to say that Valentina was bought back a week ago.
Having bitten two people. {mr.angry}

I despair............this is a feral dog, you knew that. You have got to be watchful of body language, as they don't know how to behave in a home.
I fear she is now unadoptable {cry}

She is not happy. To be honest I think the best thing for her is to put her down.
I isn't quantity of life that matters it is quality and although I love her. She hates it in there.
This was a free animal and now she is caged

Oh Wendy. I don't know what to say, I really don't.
I will say I do agree with you that the kindest thing would be to let her go to sleep gently. She must be so miserable, unhappy and confused, bless her. Quantity is absolutely nothing without quality of life even for her. Hopefully those with the power will see this. XX
