As Mo asked about him. I thought I would update.

I have had a lot of problems with him.
He always was a Daddy's boy, so Spencer not being here affected him greatly. But he was coping OK.
Then on July 19th my beloved Josie died [ I don't think I told you] it was very hard for me, it has been an awful year. Since then he just fell apart.
With Spencer and Josie, they left the house and didn't come back again. He just couldn't understand where they both went.
He won't eat going 3 days without eating. Just laid in his bed. Didn't come to greet me at the door when I arrived home, just what I needed....not !. Wouldn't come for a stroke. Just laid down the other end of the room. He made it plainly obvious I wasn't what he wanted :? He was depressed
He is coming round now with lots of work and now he will play with me and 9 times out of 10 he will come to the front door. He has started to sleep near me of an evening and he does come upstairs and sleep on the top stair.
I do keep telling him, we only have each other and he is begrudgingly realising this.

So Valentina is no problem, I have had to deal with it with my own darling Dave.

Poor Dave and poor you. So awful when an animal suffers, and you can't make it right for them straight away.

Oh dear, it's very true that troubles don't come singly. Just when you are struggling to get back on your feet fate hits you again.
No you didn't say about Josie, but you did mention only having one dog.
How hard to have to cope with Dave's grief too.

Dear Wendy. I am so sorry to hear that you lost Josie recently, another blow for you. It is so sad when dogs grieve as they have to bear it alone. Thankfully you understand what is going on with him as you have a great understanding and empathy with dogs in particular.
I do hope that he will soon find his comfort with you and maybe you can help each other along. You sound very down in yourself, so sending lots of love {hug} {hug}

Yes June I am down. I doubt I will ever get past being on my knees. {cry}
We are still awaiting the court case. So every few weeks I get more information. Not good.
But when I am working with the dogs, mine and the rescue, I can put it to the back of my mind.
